The Member of Parliament for the Daffiama-Bussie-Issa (DBI) Constituency in the Upper West Region, Hon. Dr. Sebastian Ngmenenso Sandaare, has provided vital support to 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates. His donation included 500 mathematical sets and fifty 50 kg bags of rice, aimed at easing the preparation burden of final-year students across the district.

The presentation, done in collaboration with the DBI District Education Directorate, reflects the MP’s consistent commitment to promoting academic excellence within the constituency.
As part of the initiative, Hon. Dr. Sandaare also contributed an undisclosed sum of money for the purchase of a car battery, intended to enhance the logistics and supervision of the BECE exams at all designated centres in the district.
Speaking during a brief but impactful ceremony, the MP commended the efforts of the education authorities in raising academic standards in the DBI district.
“I want to appreciate all of you for your sacrifices and dedication in shaping our future leaders, particularly as they prepare for this crucial examination. Let’s continue to give our best,” he remarked.

The DBI District Director of Education, Mr. Michael Ayamdor, who received the items on behalf of the Directorate, expressed gratitude to the MP for his unwavering support over the years. He assured that the Directorate remains committed to driving educational development in the area.
A total of 494 candidates—217 males and 277 females—are expected to sit for the 2025 BECE in the DBI district. This gender distribution reflects a broader national trend, with 306,078 female candidates compared to 297,250 male candidates participating in this year’s exams.
