Meeting in Suva, Fiji, trade ministers from the Pacific Islands Forum emphasized the urgent need for trade rules that reflect the unique vulnerabilities of small island states.
In a joint statement, the ministers said climate change poses an existential threat to their economies and communities, particularly through rising sea levels and frequent extreme weather events.
